Commitment Check, Writing Challenges, and Self-Reliance
Stop finding new things to do when you already have an unfinished task that you should be focusing on. It doesn't matter if newer things seem to be more interesting and profitable. If you can't be trusted to finish your original task, how can you be trusted with a new one? Chances are, this new task will also end up being neglected when something even more interesting pops up, and you end up being inundated by a pile of unfinished tasks.
Always keep in mind your original purpose for doing something. Constantly remind yourself why you have decided to do it in the first place. Why did you think that it was important? Back then, what were your plans on how to accomplish it? What was your expected outcome? When do you think it will be finished? I suppose if you can't find meaningful and rational answers to these questions, then that's obviously the only time when you should abandon that particular task.
When you want to write about something but you can't find the right words to express it, does it have something to do with the language? Perhaps. It's obviously difficult to articulate your thoughts using a language that you have limited vocabulary in. But perhaps it's not just about the language but the topic itself. Maybe there's really not much to write about. Maybe all you have is a superficial and vague understanding of it. Maybe it's not even worth writing in the first place.
It's so annoying being with people who constantly complain about their aches and pains. Instead of directly asking you to assist them in whatever manner, they will resort to repetitive vocalizations intended to get your attention. And for what purpose, exactly? For your comments? For your sympathy? For you to be the selfless hero who disregards everything in order to find the magical solution to their misery? And what if there is really nothing you can do to help them? What now? Can't they just shut up and keep their needless whining to themselves?
If you need help, just say it. If nobody can help you, then help yourself. If you can't help yourself, then calmly accept the reality of your situation and learn to suffer in silence. Stop acting like an infant who cries about everything, expecting the world to take care of them.
