Akala Ko Mamamatay na Ako
On July 25, 2022, I was rushed to the hospital due to extreme stomach pain. Though the initial diagnosis said that it had something to do with my kidneys, it was only on October 4, 2022 — when the same pain happened again — that doctors realized that I was actually suffering from peptic ulcer.
This was a life-changing event because at one point, when the pain was just too much to bear, I really thought that that was it — that I was actually going die.
I felt so sorry for my mom who would be left alone when I'm gone, not to mention the debt that I would be leaving her behind due to my medical expenses, funeral, and all that. This was actually what was in my mind when I desperately sought financial help from my friends — God bless them all. I wasn't expecting to survive; I just didn't want to leave my mom with some additional burden to worry about after I'm gone.
