W hile the state lacks the jurisdiction and the means to judge the interior movements of the heart , this is a limitation of human authority, not a moral validation of sinful thought. The state remains restricted to the external forum, regulating words and actions in order to preserve the common good. However, when a sinful imagination is deliberately consented to by the will and is then externalized through speech or other expression, it ceases to belong purely to the private interior forum. It becomes an external act that manifests the disposition of the will. When such expression is made public, it can constitute scandal, the encouragement of wrongdoing, or even a declaration of intent, and therefore may fall within the legitimate concern of civil authority in its duty to safeguard the common good. So why is my name in Facebook written as マクジェフ フロンドゾ ? Since I intend to keep it that way for a very long time (if not permanently), I suppose I should at least provide an explanation. First of all, it's not even a fake name; it's just the phonetic equivalent in Katakana of my first and last name, (well, according to ChatGPT ). In fact, when you try to translate it in Google Lens app, it will show something like "MacJeff Frondozo." Also, my Facebook URL shows my real name. And when you do visit my profile, I've set it up to show, in parentheses, my actual birth name right next to the Katakana characters.
